It is the sincere prayer of the authors of this space ( Oreo and Staff ) that we take a step forward aiming always for the preservation of life, but willing to consider the quality of life as well. We must keep a humane eye to all living creatures, animals live in the moment; let us honor and protect that moment for them.

From time to time Oreo defaults to private mode, this is usually after some particularly aggressive attempts by the nut jobs to send a virus our way.
Some of our newer visitors may wish to come with us into our little cave. If you are among that group, send a "not for publication" post with your email address and reference another blog, or news article where you have posted. I will add your email to our list of guests and the next time you hit the block wall, just sign in using your google account. We don't like going to ground at Oreo's, but poor Chap missed the signs and they almost totaled his computer. We are not playing with nice people here, and those of us who have been around for a spell, know that.

- I am patriotic to a fault, and strongly believe that volunteerism built this nation. It will sustain us through this tough economic crisis. I love animals and gardening.... they are not mutually exclusive. I do pallative care for teminally ill persons who often need help to stay in their homes. Relaxing finds me on the swing, book in hand and dogs at feet. I believe we can be the person God intended us to be if we check our ego at the door, and keep working toward out goal.

My son did a bit of Junior Handling, this little 10 year old is good, but the dog is the one doing the handling ( ha ha )

Fun, it's a cheerful piece of fluff. Still waiting up here to see what the shelter does, looks grim.
That's enough to make me want a border collie. Have you watched this Colan ? Is Mate a collie or a heeler ?
Looks like Riley with hair to me. Shel has to get to work if he wants to catch up with that little girl. I think from it's picture that Colan's dog is an aussie. Can't speak for Shel, but I am waiting to hear about the next meeting. Things are not bad at the SPCA, but we are not in the black unless you count the monies meant for our building.
