I follow several groups some are more opinion while others post primarily links. I need a little of both in my daily diet. The one common factor in all outlets however is the rise in dog bites and hoarding.There is no mistaking that the advent of No Kill in various communities has increased the risk to animals and public alike. I also check Mr. Winograd from time to time when I need something to smile about. He's on his old fall back, PETA, rather like a sagging politician trying to rally his base.
I've been helping Oreo and Kevin with a lost dog case and enjoyed seeing the animal community at it's best. Over 4,000 people talking on the page and no infighting. NHS knew nothing about it which shows how limited their involvement with our local community is. I asked a few people if they had seen the story and they had not.I am sure they would pull that one as soon as it came into the county, it's a beautiful dog. I also would not trust them to come forward if they had placed the animal.
I came to the sad decision today that I can't set foot in that place even one more time, it's become so degraded and negative, it's affecting my usual cheery nature. Kev's wife helps at the SPCA and I weighed that option. I think I will wait until animal services is taking volunteers and go there. Maybe I will devote more time to my writing, all I know right now is, I cannot continue to watch the travesty that is the Nevada Humane Society.

Hey Chapper's you did your time there. Move on and don't look back. I am sure when AC is doing volunteers they would be proud to have a person of your caliber

Hey Chap, come to our side of the valley. Kev is doing the fade too. We were there last week picking up dogs when Oreo was there. They were overwhelmed with dogs getting chips, that is heartwarming.
I hate to see NHS lose good people like you, but it's the good people are going, unfortunately. I was going to ask Mr. Brode about volunteering there, but I don't do well with their in house person. ice lady, but we don't agree on what should go out the door. please keep blogging, but what will you use for material?
Dear Spouse we will always find material so long as Mr. Winograd is stirring the pot. I may go to AC if Oreo does, I disagree with the eval's being done on both sides of the building right now. I am still troubled by some of the changes that have not come through. I want to see the mandate for euthanasia as a public service honored. I know our side is financilly responsible, but they are not publicly putting animsls down. Animal control needs to either pu their boot up NHS rump, or provide a dignified end of life service for the public.
